The Greene House, the newest concept from Fox Restaurant Concepts, is inspired by a unique source, California Craftsman architecture. California Craftsman architecture, inspired by the British Arts and Crafts movement, maintains clean and simple lines with beautiful use of raw materials including wood and copper, and a hint of Asian influence. Today Craftsman-style structures can be found throughout the entire United States. Intricate woodwork gives the structures a timeless handcrafted look, and rustic materials tie them to the earth. Behind each element lies a hint of a craftsman plying his art.
The name the Greene House pays homage to the famous turn of the century California Craftsman architect, Henry Greene. Henry Greene was one of the most significant architects of his time and along with his brother defined the Arts and Crafts Movement in Southern California.
Not only will the Greene House interior reflect this sensibility but the food will do so as well. In keeping with the simplicity of the California Craftsman style, the food at the Greene House will be simple and straightforward. Motivated by the great farms, markets and ranches of California, the menu at the Greene House will change monthly to showcase the best of the season. Produce and other items will be sourced locally whenever possible, and the wine list will feature all California wines.
Inside, the large copper hood and granite exposition counter will be the focus of the exhibition kitchen. The beautiful and warm interior will have an extensive presence of wood and hand made light fixtures.
